I’ve written previously about my niece (Pauline) and nephew (Charles) that are both currently serving in Iraq. Both are in the Army. Both are serving their 2nd tours there. When they were there in 2006, they were able to meet up around Christmas time. This time, it is not possible for them to meet up. But, Charles will be on leave and home for Christmas. Yay!

once upon a time a couple christmasses ago a young couple of siblings were reunited in a war zone gifts were exchanged but the greatest gift was given by both the older sister and the younger brother and that was the company of a loved one in a time and place were they needed it the most i love you pauline and i hope your doing ok, love always your “little brother” Charles
