1. Tal had her first cheer competition this past weekend. The Cottonwood Colts took first place in all five categories they competed in, qualifying them for nationals in all five categories. Which means they will be headed to Anaheim (Disneyland) in March. Which in turn, means I will be forced to go to Southern California, one of my least favorite places. But, it will be fun to see her compete. Hopefully, her ankle will be fully healed by then. I would have attached a video of their big performance, but because some evil baby kept trying to jack my coffee, the video sucked and would probably make you queasy. Stupid baby.
2. The girls and I met Candace and her daughter at the Festival of Trees.
Best gingerbread house ever!
3. Actual conversation with my Dad, concerning his imaginary bugs:
Dad: They (referring to my Mom and sister) won’t buy me any masks.
Me: Dad, I just bought you masks (the masks are to keep the bugs from getting in his mouth)
Dad: Those masks don’t work because they aren’t tight enough, the bugs get in under the sides.
Me: Mom told me she taped the masks down.
Dad: Still doesn’t work. I need tighter masks.
Me: Then you won’t be able to breath.
Dad: Then get me the kind with an air hole.
Me: Uh…won’t the bugs get in the air hole?
Dad: ……..
It’s odd to have a conversation about imaginary bugs. Especially while during the entire conversation he is picking imaginary bugs out of his mouth…AND FLINGING THEM AT ME!!! Surreal.
4. It snowed. Yeah! My car sucks in the snow. Boo!
