Someone needs to spank slap me.
I had the bright idea to finally organize all the digital images I have. Over the past few years, I have gone through several different computers. Each time I get a new one, I burn all my images onto a disk. Sometimes I will reload the images onto the new computer and sometimes I won’t. There is no rhyme or reason to it. And each time I did this, I would tell myself that I would get them all organized. I never did.
I just got a new laptop a few months ago and I am tired of not being able to find pictures that I know I have on one of my disks, somewhere. So… I uploaded all the disks, probably about 15 or so (shut up, I take a lot of pictures!). The new file said there were over 17k images!!! WTF??!! I know I had a lot, but seriously! Then I figured out that many of them are duplicates and duplicates of duplicates and so on.
Argh! Now I just want to snap the disks into small shards and stab myself in the eye! It is going to take me FOREVER to straighten them all out. And it’s not like I can just get frustrated and give up. Now that I see the mess, I am drawn to it, and Must.Organize.It!! Fuck my OCD!
But, I have found some of my favorite pics. Like these two from 2004.

Those are cute. They were so little back then. They grow up so quick!
