Independence Day

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. On schedule for the day is a pancake breakfast in the park, followed by the parade. Run home for a quick nap, since I didn’t get much sleep last night. (Stupid over active brain!) Next up will be a party at my friend Shauna’s house. This is the 13th annual Coleman Family 4th of July bash, but the first time we have been able to go. Can’t wait for Shauna’s famous jello shots! Then back close to home for the fireworks back at the park.

Today, I also honor our great country and those that serve it. Especially, my brother, my niece and my nephew. I am so proud of you all!

My heart is heavy today for two reasons. Walt had planned on spending this day with us. Him and I were supposed to do the 5k this morning.
Also, for my friend who is grieving the loss of her sister. Her pain will not end anytime soon. You my friend, are in my heart this day and every day.

Enjoy your day. Be safe. Do not drink and drive. And for Gods sake, don’t blow your fucking hand off.
