Five things that made me happy this week:
1. Taking my girls to Rocky Mountain Raceway for the Jet Car Spring Nationals. They’ve never been to the races and I haven’t been for about 17 years. They are still awesomely fun, loud and the girls LOVED it! Contrary to popular belief, drag races are not only for white trash rednecks. If you have never gone, you need to.
2. Getting to stand mere feet away from two jet cars as they warm up, and pop their engines. The sound, the heat, the entire body shock waves. Priceless!
3. Having a birthday BBQ at my Mom’s with the family. The weather was perfect. The ribs were divine. I love my family.
4. Strut your Mutt event at Sugarhouse Park. I took Kitty and Tigger to help raise money for No More Homeless Pets. Tons of people and tons of dogs. We had a great time!
5. The fact that this surrounds me at all times, no matter where I am in the Salt Lake Valley.
