OK, who is ready to vote today and have this election cycle done and over with? I am!

First off, they started way (2006!!) too early this time. Were they trying to wear us down before election, hoping that our brains would be mushy with too much bickering back and forth so we could be tricked into thinking all politicians are not liars or what?

The only good thing, it will be historical whom ever wins. Either the first black wins or the first woman wins. How amazing is that? Being a woman myself, and not being black, I am pulling for the woman. Because I think know woman are incredible! Initially I was very excited to see Obama pulling ahead with little to no racial adversity, at least among the sane people. Of course, there are the few, and thankfully the minority, of idiots that probably espouse the racial issue, but they are not getting any time in the media, so they might as well stop wasting their breath. Actually, they should just stop breathing all together and stop wasting our time. Really the only racial statements I have heard came from Obama’s own Reverend Wright and that is one of the reasons I can not vote for Obama.

But, what REALLY burns me up is the leftist women of this country that are bashing Gov. Palin. To be honest, I don’t know enough about her yet, but I am open to learning and can’t wait for the debates. The left was more than happy to sound the battle cry of, “It’s about time we have a women in office!” with Hillary Clinton, but all of a sudden Palin is the devil reincarnate? I don’t care if they don’t want to vote for her, but why do they not see the overall damage being done to all women no matter what party they pledge allegiance to? One step forward, two giant steps back. They rant that women can have careers and families (which they can, of course), but now say she is a horrible Mother for not being at home raising her kids. Uh hum, Hillary was a career women while raising Chelsea and she did a pretty damn fine job raising her daughter. It’s too bad she wasn’t nominated, she was the better choice.

I’ve even heard people say Palin should have gotten an abortion when she found out she would have a child with downs syndrome! WTF??? Are we turning into a society that only allows perfect people in it? No one with disabilities allowed? Next thing after that comes only blue eyes, blond hair and tans. Sound familiar? Sound like Germany, say in the early part of last century? They scream about a woman’s right to choose. Well, it sounds to me that she chose to keep her child and isn’t that what it is all about? The choice. Or are they really trying to say, if it’s not perfect, it belongs in a bio hazard waste bin?

I’m not the only one sick over this, so are these women:

Bird on a Wirehere and here

Lylah

I am begging you women of the US, stop bashing Palin in hopes that your side will win. Force ALL these lying candidates to talk about the REAL issues. I don’t care who you vote for, I really don’t, I am just asking that you open up your minds, don’t follow your party blindly and pick who you personally feel represents you.

One Response to “Enough already!”
