Last Friday was Gyoza Night. Yeah! Although I a more than capable of making my very own, from scratch gyoza, sometimes is nice to buy them pre-made. Plus, now that I have found the wonders of the Super H Mart (oriental market) who has an entire freezer isle of pre-made gyoza, there was no way to pass it up. Besides, even though I make the most perfect gyoza on earth (no really!), it is God awful time consuming to hand wrap each freaking piece.
NOTE: I still have not replaced my broken camera, so I had to use the old crappy one. Please forgive the crappy picures. Hopefully, I will be able to get a new one some day and I will once again post lots of pics.
I have never had the shrimp stuffed variety, so of course I had to buy a bag and try them out first. I also bought a bag of chicken filled, because I knew the kids would lose there minds if they had to eat God forsaken SHRIMP!

You will really have to forgive these crappy pics, but their directions are too funny! I have never been able to figure out why they can’t hire some one who REALLY knows both English and Japanese to do their translating. My favorite bad translation was at the aquarium in Okinawa, a sign in from of a building that said, “No Smorking”. I assumed they meant “No Smoking”, but who am I to say that “smorking” wasn’t the full intention. (Below I typed out the words from the first picture, since my camera is such a piece of shit!! The second pic came out clearer and you should be able to read it)

First pic says: If you prefer roasted dumplings, put frozen dumplings into a pan spreaded with cooking oil and roast them for about 3-4 minutes over medium heat until they turn golden brown on both sides. And then pour 1/3 cup of water into pan and get them heated again with a lid covered. You can be served with delicious roasted dumplings. -Isn’t that cute! It makes me giggle.

I really could have sworn I commented on this the last time I was here, but I obviously went into a salivation coma because I love these things and I haven’t had any in so long–therefore I am jealous of you.
