I get home from work every night at around 6ish. This gives me time to mess around on my computer a bit, do dinner and that’s about it. I would really like to get to bed by ten, since I have to get up by 6am. My tiredness actually hits at around 1-3pm. Obviously, not conducive to a regular 8-5 work schedule. The sleepiness fades a bit around 6pm, hits again slightly at 7pm and is gone until about 3am.
Every night for the past two weeks I have had to take Tylenol PMs to make sure that I get to sleep on time. I don’t want to have to take something every night to make sure I get to sleep. The insomnia is getting old. Why can’t I sleep at night? Why can’t I work my job at night and sleep during the day like my body wants me to? Life is not fair and I am just figuring that out at 38!

I have the exact same problem.
Except I don’t take sleep aids, because then I cannot function the next day.
If you ever find an answer, please post it.
I’d be forever indebted.

I take the Tylenol at about 8pm, because it takes a little while to take effect. By 10pm, I am more than ready to lay my head on the pillow. By taking it early in the evening, it doesn’t make me groggy the next morning.
I can kind of tell which nights are going to be insomnia nights most of the time, so most of the time I know when to take the pills.
I am still looking for answers too, I will post any that I find.
