Saturday evening we thought it would be a good idea for the four of us (and 3 dogs) to take a drive to the lake to take the dogs swimming. We wanted to get Tigger used to his life jacket and introduce him to the lake. On our way there, I noticed that we didn’t bring the dogs leashes, so Blain had to flip back around to go back to the house to get them.

So as he is making a left onto the highway, a minivan going straight through the light crashed into the back of our truck, just about 1 inch from Lula’s door. We spun to the right 180 degrees and came to a stop in the grass across from the intersection. I saw it coming. I screamed, clinched my eyes shut and turned my head, because the hit was coming on my side of the truck.

Everyone was OK. Lula got a big goose egg on the right side of her head and a bump over her left eye. I got a huge bruise across my right collar bone from the seat belt and my neck and back are stiff and achy. Blain and Tal are fine, but they were on the non-accident side of the truck.

The truck didn’t fair so well. The right side rear tire was pushed in a backward. The springs were jacked. The rear axle was cockeyed, which in turn caused the drive shaft to disengage in front and was laying on the ground.

This makes the 3rd car accident for me in two years. I have never been in a any other accidents. Plus the shooting at my house. Georgia is bad ju-ju apparently. I people wonder why I am on meds for anxiety!?
