This year Tal made the High School JV competition cheer team. That alone is exciting, but she is still only an 8th grader in middle school which makes it even cooler. They had their first competition today.

2007 Flowery Branch High School - Falcons JV Competition Team

Our preparations started last night. I had to use the most God awful hair products (gel, spray, cement, tar, super glue, etc.) to make the CURLS FROM HELL. They turned out pretty good, i just need a little more practice. As you can see I had too many stray pieces. This picture is a little deceiving, these are not soft, fluffy curls, they are hard as rocks!

Tal wasn’t nervous, just really excited. She is not shy and loves to compete and be in front of big crowds, a trait NOT inherited from me. She may look like me, but the similarities pretty much end there. She is her daddy’s girl, Lula is my girl. Her team did a great job and even though they weren’t in the top three, all the girls had fun out there. I’m so proud of her and the whole team!

Here are a couple of other pics from today. I couldn’t take pictures while they were competing, for some reason they frown upon flash photography. Party poopers!
